Configure DNS for a domain pointing to your VPS
A and AAAA records for IPv4/IPv6, MX for email, and the basic A→VPS pattern.
DNS connects your domain name to your VPS IP. The pattern is the same regardless of where you registered the domain — Cloudflare, Porkbun, Njalla, Namecheap.
Find your VPS IPs
Open /client/services/{id}. Copy your IPv4 (e.g. 193.34.144.42) and IPv6 (e.g. 2a0c:5a80:1502::42).
Create the A record
In your registrar's DNS panel:
Type: A
Name: @ (or your subdomain)
Value: 193.34.144.42
TTL: 3600This maps example.com to your VPS IPv4.
Create the AAAA record
Type: AAAA
Name: @
Value: 2a0c:5a80:1502::42
TTL: 3600This adds IPv6 connectivity. Some IPv6-only mobile networks need this.
Optional: www CNAME
Type: CNAME
Name: www
Value: example.com.
TTL: 3600Makes www.example.com resolve to the same place as example.com.
Verify propagation
dig example.com
dig AAAA example.comOr use https://dnschecker.org to see propagation across global resolvers. Full propagation typically takes 5-30 minutes; some resolvers cache for up to the TTL.
